3D MODELING & AINMATION PROJECTS
Welcome to my 3D Modeling and Animation page. On this page you will see 3D animations and designs made for games and show my 3D skills.
3D CAR MODELING & ANIMATION IN BLENDER - FALL 2023
For this project was more first steps in 3D Modeling and my first steps in animation. I made this project in Blender following to a course called "A Practical Introduction - Modeling & Animation" on Udemy. This was course was very help to give me the hand-on experience to start my journey to master the fundamentals of 3D modeling, editing, lighting, and animation using keyframed within Blender. This gives me the basic idea of animation within Blender and how I can create basic animations within game design.

MOUSE 'N CHEESE 3D MODEL IN BLENDER - FALL 2023
This is another 3D modeling project I did on Udemy called "Mouse 'n Cheese - Learning to 3D Model". I did this project in Blender. This project provided more fundamentals in 3D modeling using Blender's hair particle systems to create fur or hair. The project gave me a well-rounded set of skills and tricks for beginner like who is interesting in 3D modeling. Using the skills I learn about 3D modeling I can use those skills to make video game props or maybe even a character.

3D CHARACTER WALKING ENDING ANIMATION IN BLENDER - FALL 2023
This a character animation project I did in Blender. I found a tutorial on YouTube called "Create A Cinematic Superhero Animation in Blender". This tutorial was made for beginners and I found it interesting. The tutorial taught me how to use non-linear animation feature, to retime and extend animation, and how to use video clips as scene lighting, etc. Moreover, I can see how this animation can be use for game design in games.

RAIN CHARACTER ANIMATIONS - FALL 2023
For this project I use Blender's character name Rain to test my 3D Character animations skills. I wouldn't say I'm a pro at 3D animation yet but I enjoy taking this challenge and see what I know and can do. Moreover, it gives me the idea how video games character's are animated.
Combat Animation
Dropping Ball Animation
This is a little character and ball animation I did in Blender. Since I know a little bit about character animation, I finally found a software where I can take characters and animated them, realistically. The animation is considered as my first character animation I did. I think is turn out well considering my first time doing this hands-on. I'm still learning though; however, I like the process. I first pose the character and then start animating the character using keyframes. |
This character is Rain made by Blender and is free to use for projects

EPIC CAR EXPLOSION RENDER PROJECT -
Fall 2023
For this project I use Blender to make a epic car explosion that you see at the end or during action movies. There was tutorial on YouTube that cover this project that beginners can do so I followed along. The tutorial was easy to follow along. I gain some new knowledge about Blender such as Composition to help make renders look high quality. Moreover, I find it really cool that you can take 3D models and import then into Blender to make cool renders. Its really neat. I understand the rendering is an important concept in modeling and even in game development to create interactive motion graphics.

SPIDER-MAN RENDER PROJECT - Fall 2023
This is another Blender animation render project I did over both Spiderman's. I follow along a tutorial on YouTube over how to create a spider-verse scene in Blender. This tutorial was a great for beginners. I added in two Spiderman's so I have Miles and Peter. These models came from Sketchfab as well the city model. I also added compositions, fog, and lights to make the scene look really good. I even blurred the background of the city so the focus can be on both Spiderman's. I animated them to make them look like they are looking over the city and at the end I made nod towards the camera. Animating the camera was a little tricky, but the way it turn out in this project, it looked well. However, the more I practice working with the camera I will become better and create some good angles for future projects.

PS5 BLENDER MODEL PROJECT - Fall 2023
Creating and modeling this PS5 was very fun for me since I'm a gamer and I love the console. There were multiple tutorials on how to model a PS5 and I found one that was simple as well as educational for beginners. I didn't make the controller. I found a model of the controller and added to my project. The creator of the controller did an amazing job. It look exactly like the real PS5 controller. There were a lot of adding modifiers into this project. I then created a black wall and floor to place the console and controller on. I added some point lights on the wall behind the console and made the lights a dark blue since PlayStation theme color is blue. Overall, I really like how this project turn out. It looks so real like a display.

GAME ROOM BLENDER MODEL PROEJCT - Fall 2023
This another fun project I did. I seen a tutorial for beginners on how to make a game room in Blender and I thought it was really interesting and looks fun to do. I follow along with the tutorial but along the way I added in my own things such as images, textures, colors, and models as well as doing my own modeling. I never made anything like this before but I learn some new Blender techniques.

FaceBuilder Blender Project - Fall 2023
This project is a Facebuilder project I did in Blender. By using the FaceBuilder tool you can create a face of yourself or anyone by using images. The FaceBuilder provides you a head already. So, I took of pictures of myself at different angles and added the images in blender to use. Once that's done I click on one of my images such as the front image to began to line up the head model with my face using pins to move the eyes, lips, nose, ears, etc. I did the same process to the other images such as the sides views. Once that done I created the face texture which it generated my actually face (top photo). I also use the Texture Paint tool to smooth out some spots on my face to smooth out the texture. Next I added hair by using the Particle Properties. Using the Particle Properties is still new to me since I rarely use it. I seen images of amazing human hair styles created by other people just by using the Particle Properties. Lastly I added in some eyes glasses I found on Sketchfab because I wear glasses.
This Blender project was gave me the experience on how to build 3D models of human faces and heads by using some photographs. This is my first time doing something like this and I can see myself doing this again. I'm almost to actually creating myself and turn myself into a character I can use for other project especially in video games. |
Air Pods Animation - Spring 2024
For this project, I follow along with a tutorial to create this Air Pods Animation in Blender. I like working in Blender to model some cool things and assets for games but, one thing I want to achieve is better at animating in Blender. I did a little bit of animation in Blender before, but I want to get better with my animation skills in Blender as well as a whole. In this tutorial touch on a way how you can easily animate products or animate in general. They even touch on lighting as well. Lighting is important within Blender to help make your project stand out. Also, lighting is something I trying to be better at for my render projects and with the tips that was shared in this tutorial help me get started with some good basic lighting.

Sci-fi Crate Project - Spring 2024
This is my first time creating a sci-fi crate in Blender. After looking at inspiration's, I wanted to create one as well as to create a game ready asset to use for my next game. This was a great way to work on my 3D modeling skills in Blender using modifiers, extruding, intruding, scaling, etc. I also discover new things when designing this crate.

Sci-fi Grenades Project - Spring 2024
3D Icon Project - Spring 2024
This is a 3D icon illustration I did in Blender. This icon represents a graduation cap with two books showing what I did in college: Game Design and Digital Technology & Design. It was a simple design where I use modifiers and blender technique's to create the design. I render it out in cycles to give it a realistic look and have the lighting bounce off on surfaces just like real lighting does.

Roblox Character & Animation Project - Spring 2024
On the left, is a Roblox character model I imported from Roblox Studios into Blender and rigged it to create a simple animation. On the right is a Roblox character I modeled. For the character on the left, I use the Human (Meta-Rig) in Blender to line up with the body of the character. I deleted some extra bones that wasn't necessary. I parent the corresponding bones to the right body parts. Then the rig was ready. I was able to move and rotate bones. So, I created a simple animation where I have the character doing a simple wave and a little head nod. Lastly, I assign some material to create some clothing and I added a skin texture for the character.
Be sure to watch the video to see the animation. |
